On the look out for a petite, gentle engagement ring. A Morganite engagement ring could be the perfect choice for you. Its pastel pink shades will certainly have you wanting one! But how do you go about choosing the right Morganite engagement ring?

Fortunately, we put in a lot of work to design our ring just right. Every colour of Morganite was observed, trial pieces made, rejected and recycled. Every tenth a millimetre was inspected, to make sure the proportions are just right. But the end results is something we are genuinely proud of (detailed here in our Ultimate Guide to Morganite Rings). Based on our learnings, here’s what we think can help you choose the perfect Morganite engagement ring.

1. Go for pastel pink

Morganites come in a range of hues, ranging from peach to pink. And each hue comes with varying intensities, from colourless to moderately dense colours. After a lot of thought, we decided to choose Pastel pink Morganites for use in all our rings. They exude a certain sense of gentleness and femininity that we absolutely love.

2. Bigger the better

Morganites are typically easily available in larger sizes. In fact, as you go below 5mm, the tones tend to get lighter to an extent that the stone gets colourless, leaving a pale pink tinge that’s not ideal for an engagement ring. Bigger sizes allow for the colour to come into its own, not to mention it’s also more evenly spread. A bigger stone also looks right in terms of proportions.

3. Clear and transparent

Morganites are transparent, clear stones. Look at the ring with your naked eye, and see if you can find any inclusions or black marks. If not, the stone has an acceptable level of quality!

4. A thin, sturdy band is the way to go

Gentle, feminine, tender, caring are words that come to mind when thinking of our Morganite Rings. A thin, sturdy band goes perfectly with this stone. Most of our engagement rings come with a 1.5mm band. After lots of trial and error, we narrowed down on this dimension, because it looks absolutely perfect with the designs we offer.

5. Pair it with some diamonds

By itself, the pastel pink Morganite looks great. But pair it with some diamonds, and the colour just tends to get accentuated. There’s something about the brilliance of a diamonds that really makes the colour of your Morganite engagement ring stand out.

6. You need gold… rose gold

Excuse our absolutely terrible pun there, but choose rose gold. You’ll thank us later. The 18KT rose gold tone accentuates the colours of your pastel pink Morganite too. We think White gold looks great too, albeit in a more different sort of way – with the pastel pink being accentuated by the lack of any other colour around it.
